The battery is a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, integrated into the handle. When the battery runs out, you can easily replace it with a new (fully charged) handle. This gives the Looky 5 a long lifespan while you're on the go.
The Looky 5 features magnetic reading lines. This system makes reading text considerably easier. A magnet is built into the Looky 5's handle, and a specially ribbed sheet is placed under the reading material. This sheet contains metal particles that the magnet in the handle adheres to. By aligning the ribs in the sheet with the lines of text, you can easily glide the Looky 5 along the magnetic lines/text.
