Even with a visual impairment, you want to be as independent and mobile as possible. Fortunately, there are all sorts of aids that can help you with this. Worldwide Vision has been offering aids for people with visual impairments for many years, including mobility aids. These aids ensure that you can move around as independently and mobilely as possible.
Recognition stick
If you are visually impaired, it can be helpful to use a recognition cane. Using a recognition cane allows people to see that you are visually impaired and take this into account if necessary. Recognition canes are available in all shapes and sizes. Worldwide Vision's recognition canes are foldable into four or five sections, making them easy to store when not in use. Worldwide Vision also offers telescopic recognition canes. This telescopic cane consists of eight sections and can be retracted for even easier portability. All foldable recognition canes are equipped with reflective tape to ensure you are clearly visible.
Cane
A cane is different from a recognition cane. A cane not only makes it clear that you have a visual impairment, but it also allows you to navigate traffic and avoid obstacles more independently. Canes allow you to navigate traffic safely using the tapping or swiping technique and explore your surroundings safely. Worldwide Vision offers collapsible, non-collapsible, and telescopic canes, and many of the telescopic canes in their range are also adjustable in length.
Support sticks and walkers
In addition to recognition canes and tactile canes, Worldwide Vision also offers a wide range of support canes and walkers. Are you having difficulty walking? With Worldwide Vision's support canes and walkers, you'll have support while walking and your visual impairment will be recognized, allowing us to accommodate you where necessary. Worldwide Vision offers both foldable and adjustable support canes. The white walkers in our range, like the support canes, have red reflective stripes.
