Watches for the blind are also called Braille watches or tactile watches. The time can be determined by feeling the markings on the dial.
These watches open at the bottom by using your thumbnail to lift the crystal upward. The hands are extra thick to prevent them from bending. By feeling the hands from the center, starting at the hour, you can sense the time. Each hour marker has a tactile dot or line, so you can clearly see which minute or hour the hands are pointing to.
