Daisy player
Daisy players are designed to read audiobooks, magazines, or newspapers. They are a type of CD player specifically designed for the blind, visually impaired, dyslexic, and those with low literacy. You insert a CD, USB stick, or SD memory card into the Daisy player, which allows you to navigate through the book just as you would in a book.
Jumping from chapter to chapter, page to page, or paragraph to paragraph—it's all possible with a Daisy player. You can also use the Daisy player to jump between time zones in the book or use the page search function. Manually creating bookmarks is also possible.
There are various Daisy players available, from larger tabletop models to handy pocket-sized models that only require a memory card. The most advanced Daisy players can also read texts such as TXT, HTML, .DOC, and .DOCX documents thanks to their built-in synthetic Text-To-Speech voice.
Daisy players operate on mains power but can also be powered by a battery pack, making them easy to take with you. The Daisy player always remembers your position, even when you remove the CD, USB, or SD card; it will resume playing where you left off. This makes the Daisy player an ideal aid for people with reading disabilities or motor impairments, such as those who can no longer turn pages or hold a book.
