Prescriber
A prescription from a treating physician or regional institution is required for initial provision or if the medical indication changes.
During the intake, the insured person's question is identified and described in a function-oriented manner as described in the process description for aids care.
Prior approval (authorization) from the insurer is required for the provision of visual communication aids.
Worldwide Vision submits the application to the insurer
The aid will be delivered once the application has been approved by the insurer.

Procedure
To provide a text-to-speech device, authorization from your health insurer is required. The authorization request must include a reasoned explanation and a quote. After your health insurer assesses your application, authorization will be granted if approved, allowing delivery.

No deductible applies.

Replacement
In the event of replacement (in principle no sooner than 5 years), no new medical indication is required if it is already included in the Worldwide Vision insured file or if an approval statement is known to the health insurer.
It must be clearly stated in the Insured Person's file why a replacement is necessary.
