Prescriber
A prescription from a treating physician or regional institution is required for initial provision or if the medical indication changes.
During the intake, the insured person's question is identified and described in a function-oriented manner as described in the process description for aids care.
No prior consent (authorization) from the insurer is required for the provision of visual communication aids if the indication meets the legally established guidelines and the patient is proficient in Braille.
Procedure
After reviewing your application, delivery will be made immediately if it is in order. If there is any doubt about the application, Worldwide Vision will still request approval from your health insurer.
User term
5 years
Warranty
2 years
Deductible
Reimbursement from your basic health insurance policy is subject to your deductible. If you've opted for a voluntary deductible, your health insurer will first offset the costs against your mandatory deductible and then against your voluntary deductible. Once you've met your deductible, this care will be covered by your insurance up to the maximum amount for which you are insured. The deductible applies to insured individuals aged 18 and over.
Replacement
In the event of replacement (in principle no sooner than 5 years), no new medical indication is required if it is already included in the Worldwide Vision insured file or if an approval statement is known to the health insurer.
It must be clearly stated in the Insured Person's file why a replacement is necessary.
Problems/complaints can be reported directly to Worldwide Vision on telephone number 013 528 56 66. Available on working days from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
