Prescriber
A prescription from a treating physician or regional institution is required for initial provision or if the medical indication changes.
During the intake, the insured person's question is identified and described in a function-oriented manner as described in the process description for aids care.
Prior approval (authorization) from the insurer is required for the provision of visual communication aids.
Worldwide Vision submits the application to the insurer
The aid will be delivered once the application has been approved by the insurer.
Procedure
After your health insurer has assessed your application, if approved, authorization will be issued so that delivery can proceed.

Deductible
Reimbursement from your basic health insurance policy is subject to your deductible. If you've opted for a voluntary deductible, your health insurer will first deduct the costs from your mandatory deductible and then from your voluntary deductible. Once you've met your deductible, this care will be covered by your insurance up to the maximum amount for which you are insured. The deductible applies to insured individuals aged 18 and over.
Replacement
In the event of replacement (in principle no sooner than 5 years), no new medical indication is required if it is already included in the Worldwide Vision insured file or if an approval statement is known to the health insurer.
It must be clearly stated in the Insured Person's file why a replacement is necessary.
